Santana Makes Walk of Fame

Legendary rock/blues/fusion guitarist Carlos Santana, who has led his band Santana for 30 years, is scheduled to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. His star will be located at 7080 Hollywood Blvd., near LaBrea. Johnny Grant, chairman of the Walk of Fame, said: "I am honored to host this Walk of Fame ceremony for Carlos Santana. His professional and community-service accomplishments are incredible. I am surprised he wasn't nominated years ago."

Rock-guitar legend Carlos Santana received a star emblazoned with his name Monday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Standing on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue near his newly placed star, the San Francisco-based musician told the crowd of fans and Tinseltown passers-by that he felt honored and ended his short speech by wishing those in attendance, "Peace, love, light and joy."
