VH-1 Men Strike Back
Sting,
Backstreet Boys, Tom Jones, D'Angelo, Enrique Iglesias, Christina
Aguilera and Sisqo take the stage for an unprecedented superstar
event when VH1's "Men Strike Back," the first-ever male
dominated concert. Guest presenters include Jenna Elfman, Matthew
McConaughey, Kevin Bacon, Dylan McDermott, Kyra Sedgwick and Susan
Sarandon.
Taped at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City,
VH1's "Men Strike Back" includes the hits fans have
come to expect from these artists, as well as unexpected duets:
-- Sting gives a nod to his Police days with
a solo version of "Roxanne," and "Don't Stand So
Close to Me" for which he is joined by the Backstreet
Boys.
-- Enrique Iglesias sings his hits "Be With
You" and "Bailamos," then is joined by Tom
Jones for a hot version of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire."
-- D'Angelo keeps up the heat with "Send
It On" and his duet with Tom Jones: a rafter-raising
cover of James Brown's "Sex Machine."
-- Tom Jones keeps the house on its feet with
his hit "It's Not Unusual" and his cover of Lenny Kravitz's
rocker, "Are You Gonna Go My Way."
-- Sisqo wows the audience with his "Thong
Song" -- complete with 20 dancers.
-- Christina Aguilera adds her feminine ways
to the all-male line up with a medley of "I Turn To You/What
A Girl Wants," plus "At Last."
-- Backstreet Boys makes the girls scream with
"Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely," "I Want
it That Way," joined by Sting and "The
One."
-- Then the entire line-up takes the stage to close the show with
Sting's "Every Breath You Take."
