it's time to get the party wagon loaded up!
This thursday (july 5) the Youngblood Brass Band
is playing at the zoo bar! (www.youngbloodbrassband.com)
these boys from madison blow some funky ass horns!
they write many of their own songs but also play some cover tunes
like "part time lover" and "killing me softly"
i guarantee a funky good time will be had by all.
instead of hearing about the great times others have,
come out and have some of your own.

i know what you're thinking...
"eww. on a thursday? i have to work on friday."
well, friday will come and go just the same.
but if you go see this band, you'll be able to tell your
co-workers you saw a great band the night before.
besides, it's the friday after a holiday, so
it'll be a slow day at work anyway! :-)

they'll probably start somewhere between 9-9:30.
i'll be there after my Hair rehersal is over.
i've seen them a couple of times and
have been eagerly awaiting their return to lincoln!

her show is currently running at SHELDON art gallery (12th & R),
and will be there until July 29th.

the opening reception is this Friday (july 6) from 5-7PM
come support local art in general,
and an amazingly talented dear friend of mine in specific.
Further celebration immediately following the reception at the
THE MARS INTERGALACTIC SHRIMP AND MARTINI BAR,
across from the Centrum Building. 7:30pm~as late as you can handle!
