but you catch my drift....
it's time to get your groove thang warmed up.
the cats are going to prowling.

i also know that you've probably got some friends you
haven't seen in a while, and have been meaning to call...

well here's the perfect opportunity to see some good people
hear some good tunes (i promise we won't suck!)
and generally get down!

if you've been to one of these gigs, you know how fun they can be.
if you haven't been to a gig, it's about time you came out.
i promise you won't regret it! :-)

:: I'm Not Rappaport ::

Celebrate the seniors in your life at the Lincoln Community Playhouse's season opener, "I'm Not Rappaport," Herb Gardner's delightful comedy about the joys and pains of aging.

Phil Heckman and H. Corkey Ford star as Nat and Midge, two ocotgenarians who resist all efforts to put them out to pasture. Throughout the play, they come to terms with their limitations and celebrate their potential -- creating a life-affirming and remarkably funny look at the "sunset years."

What better way to celebrate Grandparents' Day on Sunday, Sept. 2 than to treat your favorite senior to an afternoon of theater at the Lincoln Community Playhouse! And if you can't make it that Sunday, carry the spirit of Grandparents' Day with you to any of the other performances of "I'm Not Rappaport."

Show days and times:
Friday, Saturday, Aug. 31 & Sept. 1, 7:30 PM
Sunday, Sept. 2, PM (interpreted for the hearing impaired and audio-described by Radio Talking Book)
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sept. 6-8 & 13-15, 7:30 PM
Sunday, Sept. 9, 7:00 PM
Sunday, Sept. 16, 2:00 PM

Your Quick Inspiration For The Day: Do It Anyway
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the
bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds
in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
