:: husker football & reggae on thursday! ::

by now we all know the husker game vs rice will kickoff at 7:30 on thursday
sept 20th.
if you're looking for a good way to celebrate another husker shellacking,
come groove to some reggae at the zoo bar. or if you dread husker football
(shame on you!), here's a great way to ignore the big red and still have a
good time. One Drop will start about 9PMish and play til close. cover charge
is $3. go big rastafari! :-)

you thought they were gone didn't you!?!?
well, no way! they're still on tour with memorable 80s hair band classics
like
"way cool jr" "lovin you's a dirty job" "you're in love" and "lay it down"
tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show.

also this friday, the NU women's soccer team takes on Norther Iowa at the
Abbott Sports Complex (on 70th Street north of Cornhusker Hwy) at 7PM.

:: funky music alert - Planet Butter ::

Planet Butter will be playing on saturday sept 22 as part of the haymarket's
oktoberfest. evidently the german celebration actually takes place in
september. who knew?
the funky Planet Butter will start at 6PM.
other bands playing include Baby Jason (and, presumably, the Spankers)
and Los Straight Jackets, but i don't know their start times.
