WOMANSTOCK VIII is COMING!!

The Lincoln Chapter of the National Organization for Women is celebrating its eighth year of Womanstock, an annual fundraiser that celebrates the music of women. This year's event will be held at Duggan's Pub, 11th & K Streets, on Thursday, April 18th, from 8 pm until midnight.

"We are really thrilled to be celebrating Womanstock, and the music of women, again this year.", said Kay Siebler, coordinator of Lincoln NOW. "Lincoln has come to expect the event every year and we are thrilled with the line up. Each year it seems to get better and better."

This year, Lincoln comic T. Marni Vos, a nationally known entertainer, will M.C. Womanstock. Musical performers include Annetter Murrell, The Resonators (formerly known as Tootsweet), and Terry Jo Dahlquist (of the new women's group, Baby Needs Shoes), DeAnn Allison, and more.

"We have known performers and new groups lined up this year", Siebler said. "T. Marni Vos and Annette Murrell are celebrity performers in Lincoln. So are the women in Baby Needs Shoes (Terry Jo Dahlquist, Nancy Marshall, and Mel Landis). We are thrilled that all this great talent is helping us out this year. It should be an amazing evening full of wonderful music. We are going to have a little for everyone: folk, gospel, acapella trio, rock."

Tickets for Womanstock can be purchased at the door for $10 or in advance at A Novel Idea bookstore for $8. There will also be a silent auction in association with the event.
