the playhouse has been putting out a lot of great entertainment in the last few years.
the talent pool is so deep
that 6 mainstage and 3 family theater shows aren't enough to get exhaust it.
this season there have been 3 special events:
hair, complete works of shakespeare and salute to pearl harbor
and for a 3rd year in a row, the playhouse will stage a gallery theater production.
these shows generally have less mainstream appeal than the regular season shows.
thank god the playhouse is putting on another one.
'side man' is a tony-award winning story about the family of a great jazz musician.
there's a great story being
told on the stage this weekend.
it's not a caricature - it's personal.
it's not overt - it's real.
and it runs only this weekend

twenty years from now you
will be more disappointed by
the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
so throw off the bowlines. sail away from the safe harbor.
catch the trade winds in your sails. explore. dream. discover.
