:: shakespeare ::

once again the swan theater at wyuka cemetary provides the setting
for some summer shakespeare by some of lincoln's most talented
performers. bob hall has assembled a stellar cast for his
rendition of 'much ado about nothing.' if you're the least bit interested
in quality shakespeare you'll want to see this!
but even more importantly, it's a chance to support a small group
of committed performers.

the review... "Shakespeare at Wyuka shines again with Much Ado About Nothing"

...played within the carriage house courtyard under the open skies, the comedy rivals last year's production.
The two Kendalls -- married in real life -- are accomplished performers and easily, as well as convincingly, glide through a melange of emotions without forced affectations as their characters become more intertwined.

A common characteristic in a Bob Hall-directed play is the scrutiny and focus that he gives to a show's supporting roles. He realizes that a play is more than the leads.

That's why fine actors such as Cover, Boesen and Stuart in supporting efforts produce even finer performances.

And why the matchless George Hansen -- a comedic actor almost without peer in Lincoln -- always finds a role in a Hall-directed piece. To say that Hansen's intricately crafted portrayal of the thickheaded Dogberry is masterful is an understatement.

The supporting cast is also sprinkled with gifted performers such as Gary Hall (Leonato), Mark Klemetsrud (Antonio), Joel Story (Borachio) and Linda Nettland (Margaret).
