:: voices from the resistance ::

On Thursday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m., Pippa White will be performing her
latest one-woman show, "Voices from the Resistance" at Southeast Community
College. The event is sponsored by The Mediation Center as a fundraiser.

Here is how Ms. White describes the presentation: "Ordinary People.
Shopkeepers, factory workers, housewives, bankers, farmers, teachers,
auto mechanics. They worked in France, Italy, Germany, Holland,
Scandinavia -- wherever the Nazis were, they were fighting an
underground war against Hitler. They led Jews to freedom, rescued Allied
soldiers, printed newspapers, blew up bridges, risked their lives every
day to do what they could to cripple the Third Reich. And they did. And
they have stories to tell."

Pippa White is a Lincoln actress who has written a number of one-woman
shows, which she has performed in eleven states.

The show will be at the Southeast Community College in Lincoln. The cost is
$20/person, which includes a buffet of elegant desserts. Because it is
being presented through Southeast Community College, each person must
individually fill out a "noncredit course registration form."
