The first ever Bob Marley Birthday and Soul Shakedown Party Reggae Benefit
for KZUM . . . or BMBSSPRBFKZUM for short.

Thursday, Feb. 6th, 5:30 to midnight at Bodega's Alley, 1410 O Street (north
side).

$5 cover for KZUM. $10 for Jamaican food cooked by KZUM's resident
Kingstonian, Eric "Bucky" Morris. If you haven't had his jerk chicken or
rice & peas, you're missing out.

Reggae, ska, rocksteady, dub, and dancehall music will be played in the
tradition of the Jamaican soundsystem -- with deejays playing actual vinyl
records. KZUM soundmaster and reggae whore President Carter will put the
needle in the groove for several hours. Other surprise guest deejays TBA.

KZUM is Nebraska's first community radio station and has helped keep reggae
alive, barely but still . . . since the early 80s.

Come celebrate, eat, drink, and dance.

See you there.
