The Douglas Theatre Company is seeking actors to impersonate movie stars of the 1950s at its Academy Awards Party on March 23 at the Rococo. Proceeds from this event support the Make A Wish Foundation.
Six to eight "stars" are needed from 6 to 9 PM, to mingle with guests, pose for photos and simply have fun. Douglas Theatres will pay for costume rental, if necessary. All actors will receive a free meal and may participate in all the evening's entertainment activities. Douglas Theatres will also give impersonators free movie passes.
If you do a passable impersonation of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, John Wayne, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Humphrey Bogart, Kate Hepburn, or any other big screen star of the 50s, call Judy at the Douglas Theatre Company, 474-4909, as soon as possible for more information.

ROLES IN SONDHEIM MUSICAL TOUR AVAILABLE
TADA Productions, a professional outreach theatrical company based in Nebraska
is currently taking resumes for their summer tour of Side by Side by Sondheim.
Roles available include 2 tenors and 1 mezzo soprano age 18 or over as well
as a position for a technical coordinator/stage manager. Positions will be paid
and company members must be available to tour from May to mid August. Resumes
and headshots should be sent by March 14th to TADA Productions 941 O Street

Those actors under consideration will be asked to come in and sing from the
score of the show. Rehearsals begin April 16th.

The sophistication, wit, insight, heart and genius of Broadway’s most innovative and influential artist is at the center of this tribute to composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim This dazzling array of some of Sondheim's best-known songs features numbers from landmark shows that revolutionized the musical theatre with their masterful craft and astounding creativity: “Company,” “Follies,” “A Little Night Music,” “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum,” “Anyone Can Whistle” and “Pacific Overtures,” not to mention the classics written with musical theatre giants Leonard Bernstein, Jule Styne and Richard Rodgers, “West Side Story,” “Gypsy” and “Do I Hear A Waltz?” Also included are delectable rarities from the television musical “Evening Primrose”.
The tour will include performances at The Brownville Concert Hall, Hastings Community Theatre, James Arthur Vineyards, Lincoln Nebraska, Minden Opera House, a two week run at Omaha’s Millennium Theatre and several other locations TBA.
TADA (The Arts Deserve Attention) Productions was created in 2001 and produced last summer's theatre season at the Brownville Village Theatre and the Midwest premiere of Jekyll and Hyde the musical.
