:: The Laramie Project ::

In the aftermath of the brutal beating and death of college student Matthew
Shepard at the hands of two local young men, Moisés Kaufman and members of
the Tectonic Theater Project traveled to the scene of the crime - Laramie,
Wyoming - and conducted over 200 face-to-face interviews with its residents.
Without re-enacting the murder or introducing Matthew Shepard as a
character, the play delves into the hearts and minds of those grappling with
the "whys?" of such a crime in their community. What emerges is a clear and
honest portrait of small-town America thrust onto the national stage, and a
captivating, vivid and profoundly moving play that lays bare the very
landscape of the American conscience.

comic potential:: comic potential ::

a couple of weeks ago i told you about comic potential and how giddy i am about it.
well, i'm still giddy. i'm also scared, because this is really hard for me.
but mostly i'm giddy.

please please please order tickets for the opening weekend!
it opens may 23rd. this is the kind of show that will generate a lot
of word of mouth, so the last weekend will sell well. but because it's
not a very well-known show, it'll be harder to sell the first couple of
weekends. so please help us out by coming as early as you can!

if you're a member of the playhouse, you can get your tickets now!
non-members can buy tickets starting monday, may 12.
lcp box office: 489-play (7529)

hope to see you there! it's going to be a crazy, wild ride. :-)
