Laughter takes the stage at LCP

If you like to laugh, your sides will be aching when you see "Comic Potential" at LCP starting May 23 and running through June 8. This delightfully funny Alan Ayckbourn comedy is both a sweet love story and a laugh-out-loud farce, starring LCP favorites Matthew Landis and Laura Kendall as Adam Trainsmith, a young scriptwriter, and Jacie Triplethree, the android actress he falls in love with.

You'll also see Laurie Lessman in her 20th appearance on the LCP stage, but in her first non-musical role ever, playing Carla Pepperbloom, a woman who is used to getting exactly what she wants (and what she wants is Adam!) Scott Glen makes his 26th foray onto the LCP stage in the role of octogenarian Lester Trainsmith, who speaks only through his aide, Marmion, played by Nate Brandt, who just finished directing "Peter Rabbit and Me" in our Family Theatre.

The cast also features Karen Wills (in her 21st LCP role), Bruce Thiel, and Deirdre Barney, each of whom has an extensive list of LCP credits; and Callie Slater and Rich Sibley, both seen last fall in LCP's "Hoboken Chicken Emergency."

"Comic Potential" marks director Rob McKercher's final non-musical production for LCP and your last chance to see what makes a McKercher-directed comedy so memorable. Call the box office today at 489-7529 and reserve your ticket to laugh.
