:: Blue River Art Barn presents: Steve Burden & Richard Russell ::

The Blue River Art Barn hosts an art show titled "Found, Formed, and Made in the U.S.A.," featuring Lincoln natives Steve Burden and Richard Russell. Show dates are Friday, June 27 thru Sunday, June 29, 2003. Special musical guests, The Pot Scrubbers, will be playing fiddle, guitar and banjo music on Sunday, June 29.

"Steve Burden's sculpture is informed by his mechanical expertise. Working with copper, concrete and marble, Mr. Burden draws inspiration from both the mechanical and the spiritual in the creation of his unique works of art," says Art Barn Curator Tom Hart. Mr. Burden was the artist in residence at the Villager Hotel for six years. His sculpture is permanently installed there.

"Rich Russell uses found items in three-dimensional collages, recycling the lost and overlooked, from wagon wheels to stuffed rattlesnakes, into a delightful, thought-provoking new whole," says Hart.

Special musical guests, The Pot Scrubbers will play a variety of fiddle, guitar and banjo tunes, some from the old-timey era of Gid Tanner and the Skillet Lickers.

Dates and times for the show are:
- Friday, June 27, 7-9 p.m.
- Saturday, June 28, 10-4 p.m.
- Sunday, June 29, 2-5 p.m.
