they're in town. they're just plain awesome. they pack the zoo bar with good
vibes and good people. if you want a table get there early!!!
personally, i don't even bother, because i'm on the dance floor rocking out/
dancing/sweating all night long.

seven horns.
two drums.
thirty gigowatts of energy.
don't miss this gig.

:: salomé ::

and i thought i was done playing imprisoned biblical characters...
i've signed on to play john the baptist (jokanaan) in oscar wilde's 'salomé'
out at the swan theater (at wyuka). it stars the mercurial suzanne evans
mostafa as the title role and will be directed by the singular paul pearson.
we started rehearsals on the new moon, and will open next tuesday under
the full moon. (that's two weeks, folks.)

more details will follow, but this is gearing up to be quite an event.
we will have almost zero promotional budget, but a wonderful show.
so please put this on your calendars now...we open at the swann
tuesday august 12 and run through saturday august 16th.
tickets will be $10 - with a start time of probably 7:30.

there will also be a unique opportunity for those who'd like to
participate in the event. the play takes place in herod's palace
at the time of a massive party. and for a donation of $15,
you'll get to come dressed up as a party goer (toga-ish), help prepare
some of the actors for their performance and watch the show from
the stage while eating grapes and drinking wine.
it's kind of like being an extra in a movie, but with a few additional
perks. if you're interested in taking part of the event of the season,
give me a holler and i'll disclose more details to you.
}:-) <-devilish grin

this isn't just a show, it's a lavish spectacle. of prodigal proportions.
come be a part of it...august 12-16...mark it down.
