:: shelterfest ::

Shelterfest is a a family oriented music festival/benefit to raise funds for the Lincoln Public Schools homeless program. Shelterfest also serves as a venue for new, or up-and-coming bands to showcase their musical talents.

The event will be August 10, 2003, from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. at Pinewood Bowl. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door. Additional notes: no pets, no coolers, no smoking, no alcohol, concessions will be sold.

Bands include: cactus hill, forgotten soul, slyde brother, sandwich kings, big daddy and authorized personnel, sojh, von baron catalyst, metro ape, roger that, evadence, jv all stars, mr 1986, remedy, broad appeal, sheila jones & co, ashanti african roots & culture.

my soccer team will be playing for 3rd place on sunday. there are 'elite' 3 teams in the division, and somehow a team weaseled by without playing any of us and took our rightful spot in the championship game. so we've got a statement to make on sunday.

our official opening will be on thursday august 14th instead of the 12th.
but it's still going to feature an opportunity to get into the mix of the evening
