Murmur Theater Company Presents

Oleanna
By David Mamet
Directed by Jeffrey Little
Starring Brad Boesen and Kelli Chaves
Murmur Theater Company is pleased to announce its production of David Mamet's Oleanna, directed by artistic director Jeffrey Little, with performances to be held Thursday, August 21st through Sunday, August 24th at the Haymarket Theatre in Lincoln. This production will be the first for the newly-formed company.
"Oleanna is … a scorcher," writes the Boston Globe. "The woods are burning, and all of us are being seared in the fire." One of Mamet's most acclaimed works, Oleanna traces the relationship between a professor and a student accusing him of sexual harassment. Conventional notions of power, gender, political correctness, and justice get sliced to bloody pulp by Mamet's blazing dialogue in top form. The battle of the sexes has never been smarter or more brutal.
The production schedule for Oleanna is as follows: Thursday, August 21st at 8pm; Friday, August 22nd at 8pm; Saturday, August 23rd at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, August 24th at 2pm. Reviewers are invited to attend the preview performance on Wednesday, August 20th at 8pm (Please RSVP to Scott Kline at 402-435-0688 or scott@murmurtheater.org). Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students, and can be reserved by calling Murmur Theater Company at 402-435-0688 or by e-mailing tix@murmurtheater.org. The Haymarket Theatre is located at 803 Q Street.
