Nina Storey: Music Box Thursday ::
I've seen
Nina at the Music Box before and she knocked me out.
She tells great stories through her music, but her voice is her true gift: it
can be strong and brassy or gentle and lithe.
She's *easily* worth the trip to Omaha.
Call some pals and make your plans now! :-)
Music Box: 7777 Cass Street; get to 72nd and Dodge, go north on 72nd for two
blocks to Cass and turn left.
Tickets: $12 in advance through ticketmaster
or $15 day-of-show. This is an 18+ show.

:: Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged) ::
Shakespeare as written by Reader's Digest, acted by Monty Python, and performed at the speed of light. This comic show takes the audience on a roller coaster ride of all of the Bard's 37 plays in less than two hours. It is like Shakespeare meets Saturday Night Live as the five-actor troupe takes shots at all of Shakespeare's canon.

is now open 2-5 p.m. M-SA at 465-2384.

Third Chair Chamber Players ::
The first concert begins with a madrigal by Orlando Gibbons that has been set for a quartet of saxophones. Odd? Not at all. Although the modern sxophone didn't exist during the Baroque period, this instrument is the closest of all the contemporary wind instruments to the human voice. What better way to present a vocal quartet in a uniquely original fashion!
The quartet will also perform the now-famous Pachelbel Canon in an arrangement meant for three voices and a bass instrument, as well as a beautiful, ecclesiastical and little-known work by Carolus Hacquart. Representing the brilliant, self-indulgent virtuosos of Italy are Geminiani's Trio Sonata for two violins and Vivaldi's Concerto fo harp (played here on guitar by Rusty Banks). Rounding out the program will be a Concert from Rameau's Concert Royale, and the D Major Quartet composed by the most famous of J.S. Bach's sons, C.P.E. Bach.
Friday, September
12 at 8pm & Sunday September 14th at 2pm.
All TCCP concerts will take place at The Loft At The Mill...8th & P in the
Haymarket.
The Holiday Inn parking garage will offer parking for Loft events for $1.

$5.00; Children 12 and Under: Free Admission
Admission
