I saw this last weekend and had a blast. The cast is superb and the songs are very entertaining. This show is definitely worth the time and effort to go! -m@

The songs take the audience from the deck of a 1492 sailing ship to a ledge fifty-seven stories above 5th Avenue, through an array of arresting characters that sing the songs and stories of today.

Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing ::
Sibling mischief and best pal escapades are the problems Peter Hatcher faces in his attempts to deal with his impossible little brother, Fudge. Based on the popular title by perennial favorite Judy Blume, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing is a humorous look at family life and the troubles that can only be caused by a younger sibling.
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing has been selected by "A Book For All Kids," a citywide reading program for all elementary students, sponsored by the Lincoln Journal Star, Lincoln City Libraries and the Lincoln Community Playhouse. For more information on this program, go to http://www.abookforallkids.com.

be at the zoo bar on friday, february 13th.
the show will get started about 9ish and will cost you a couple of bucks.
i saw them last time at the
zoo bar and completely dug it.
i like reggae ok...it's not a huge favorite of mine...but this was great.
the melodys are handled by brass most of the time which is really inventive.
seriously, the horns elevate them to another level.
i'm sure i'll be going down there after my rehearsal gets done.
i sincerely hope to see some of my rastafriends there. :-)

During the 1960s, there was not a bigger name on the Billboard charts than Bobby Vinton. His was the quintessential love singer of the rock era's first epoch, charting major hits with Blue Velvet, Mr. Lonely, Roses Are Red, and My Melody of Love. Vinton's live shows today are a grand celebration of pop music's past, romantic songs, and timeless messages.

What is a poetry Slam? It's
competition poetry; showcasing humor, politics, enlightenment, sex, entertainment
masquerading as literature, literature masquerading as entertainment. Poets
read, then judges flash Olympic-style scoring to determine who goes on to the
next round until one poet is left standing as the champion. It's a lot of fun!
Open Mic: readers have 4 minutes. Slammers: should have 3 poems.

One minute you'll be laughing uncontrollably, the next you'll be enrapt in a bizarre monologue on quantum mechanics, and the next you'll be moved by a beautiful song about Spirit. He has been entertaining people 100 times a year (in the U.S. and Europe), for over a decade, selling 40,000 albums in the process, and gaining a reputation as one of the most important songwriters in the world today. His 10th release, "Bell" is a concept record about the feminine divine, inspired by his wife and unborn daughter. Stuart lives in Boulder, CO with his wife Marcia, their daughter Arabelle (fresh from the Bardo), and their 150 lb. otter hound, Isaac. For more: http://www.stuartdavis.com
Dharma Pop Records (formerly Post-Apocalyptic Records) was formed in 1998 when Stuart tried to sell his own body parts to fund his 7th album, "Bright Apocalypse". Fans settled for shares in his records instead, and a label was born. Dharma Pop now has a staff of 20 volunteers who participate in everything from management to web-hosting to graphic design, 400 "Punk Monks" (street teams) who help promote concerts. Stuart's CD, Bell. The Bodhisattva's Vow (to awaken for the sake of all beings) is the heart of Stuart's life and record label. Succinctly put, Dharma Pop's purpose is to create music that amplifies awareness. The formal elements of these songs (melodies, hooks, rhythms) are a Trojan Horse for introducing mysticism into mainstream culture.
