Hey there! We are ever growing into April and Spring is makin' herself known in the neighborhood! I've been keeping my eye on some mystery flowers gradually blooming in the adventure yard -- may not have to do the flower work I thought I'd need to do --WOW! And speaking of spring, new growth and creations blossoming --she says in a wacky loosely related segue -- lets take a look at March's final bow in her theatrical garden --......did I just really type that? hmmmmm....
ON STAGE NOW:
"Smokey Joe's Cafe", directed by Patrick Lambrecht, will open at Lincoln
Community Playhouse Friday March 12th and will run for 4 weekends through April

LAST WEEKEND:
"Midsummer Night's Dream", written by -- do I really need to say?--
and directed by Bob Hall will open at the Haymarket Theatre Thursday, March
11th and will run for 3 weekends. (Thurs through Sat at 7:30 pm and Sun at 2:00

Resume and photo are NOT required, but welcome. Wear loose clothing for movement
exercises. Auditions require group work so please plan on a better part of the

OPEN AUDITIONS FOR MAHONEY PARK THEATRE'S 2004 MELODRAMAS
Open auditions for the 2004 summer melodrama season at Eugene T. Mahoney State
Park have been scheduled. The Park is
located midway between The Cities of Omaha and Lincoln on Interstate I-80 near
Ashland. This marks the 12th consecutive
season of Summer melodrama performances at the Denman and Mary Mallory Kountze Memorial Theatre located centrally in the
Park. The shows are popular Family entertainment in a comfortable, climate controlled indoor setting.
Auditions will consist of script readings individually and with others in a private setting. Scripts are not available prior to the auditions, but applicants will be given ample time for preparation. Picture and resume are not required but are welcome.
Actors receive compensation based on theatre attendance.

SHE'S BAAAACK!
Buddy Starr is returning for two nights to Lincoln
in PICTURES OF AN EXHIBITIONIST. Buddy is the character creation of local director
and actor Paul Pearson. Pearson was the creator of Buddy Starr's Screaming Kupcakes,
a mix of pop-music, camp, broad humor, and social satire. Starring in the diverse
cast with Buddy will be popular local actors Beth Muehling and Robie Hayak.
They will be joined by featured performance artists and gender illusionists
Freida Lae, Red Essence, Destiny, and Skylar. Actors Ward Lewis, Keith Potts,
and "Mr. Q 2003" Dan co-star. Performance dates: Friday and Saturday,
March 26 and 27, 2004. At the "Q", 226 South 9th Street. Doors open
at 8:00 p.m. Curtain at 9:00 p.m. All tickets are $6.00 at the door. Anyone
under 19 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult guardian. Adult
content and language: not recommended for most people under 16.
