:: special announcement: 18th annual bowl for kids' sake ::
Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters is launching its 18th Annual Bowl For Kids' Sake at Sun Valley Lanes this Saturday, April 3, from 11 am to 11 pm. We still desperately need bowlers, but I realize that it's getting late in the game. If you are interested in bowling, contact myself, Tom Crew, at 464-2227 and I will set you up. You need to raise $75 to bowl. For that you get 2 games of bowling, a t-shirt and a free meal. If you bowl after 5 pm and you are 21 or older you will get two tickets for a draw of beer (Of course, you can get soda as well).
If you don't feel you can bowl at this point- you can really help us out by pledging myself(I'm bowling at 1 pm) or pledging the agency in general. We have a staff contest for most pledges raised and I am losing right now!!! You can pledge me online this year as well. We are located at www.hbbbs.kintera.org. You just search for my name or team name- The Crewsers- I know- how clever. Or just email me at tcrew@alltel.net.
Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters has been serving the Lincoln community for 34 years. Our main service is to match children from primarily single-parent, limited income families with responsible, caring adults who help develop self esteem and social skills. We have never, nor will we ever, charge for our services. We currently have over 450 children matched. But our waiting list continues to grow. We have over 200 children waiting for their special friend out there. In order to match these children and then to support our matches- we need financial help from our community. Please consider helping us out. No pledge is too small. Thanks for any support you can give!
