turn this summer's best-kept secret into the event of the season
...all you have to do is GO!

people generally have a hard time going to shakespeare because we think it will be hard to understand. well...those people haven't gone to see a bob hall production. he is so good at helping the actors communicate with the audience. besides, the setting (swan theater at wyuka cemetary) is one of the best venues in town for theater. seriously! if you're scoffing, you haven't been there. if you've been there, you're nodding your head.

fellas, i'm going to help you out...take your lady to this show.
no joke...you'll score MAJOR points with this one.
it's creative...it's cultured...it's romantic...
and it's surely not your average date!

:: jazz in june ::

Great Jazz. Great Outdoors.

Enjoy Great Jazz and Great Outdoors in the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden, during the annual free Jazz in June concert series, Tuesdays in June. There's nothing quite like an evening on the shady slopes of the Sculpture Garden listening to the smooth sounds of jazz groups, surrounded by other 'cool cats,' enjoying a picnic dinner.

Grab grub or groceries at the Jazz in June Market starting at 5 p.m. then sway into the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden (12th & R Sts.) by 7 p.m. to hear the smooth sounds of Great Jazz in the Great Outdoors each Tuesday in June.

For the best seats, arrive early with a blanket or chairs in hand. In case of rain, all Jazz in June concerts will be held inside the Sheldon Art Gallery.

Grab your family, or a friend or two, and head down to the Jazz in June Market before the concerts for fresh produce and delectable dinner eats. Don't forget to save a little cash for this year's Jazz in June collector T-shirt or a CD by the featured artist.
