:: Electric Soul Method ::

man...i love this band.
i catch them whenever i can.
in fact, last saturday i spent the waning hours of the night
dancing down at the zoo bar to these guys.

how do i describe them? hmm....
heavy soul.

anyway...they're playing at the roadhouse
on south 14th (between hwy 2 and old cheney) this friday, august 20th.
they'll get going about 9 and finish strong about 1.

:: Touch ::

Kyle Kalke never does anything half-way. He takes Physics in high school four times, mainly because his school doesn’t offer Astronomy. The day Zoe peeks her head into the classroom, he falls for her almost immediately. They marry as soon as they graduate, and Kyle pursues his marriage with unparalleled passion. Then one night, Zoe vanishes..and Kyle’s life is destroyed. The mystery of Zoe’s disappearance, the reactions of those left behind, love, loss, and the nature of the universe form a memory play that tries to capture the scope of real grief, sudden tragedy, and love that never dies.

:: The Takers/Minutia Stew ::

These two bands supplied four members of the Angry Inch (the band in Hedwig).
If you saw Hedwig, you know what a great band that was...
if you didn't, well...this was a fantastic group of musicians.

The Takers is a hard rock band featuring Sean Moon on guitar and vocals.
Sean and bass player Jerek Olaveti were Kryztkof and Jacek in Hedwig.

Michael Fancy is the singer/songwriter of the glam rock band Minutia Stew.
He played Yitzhak (Hedwig's husband). The drummer, Jeff Gustafson, was Schlatko.

They're splitting a bill at Duffy's on Sunday, August 22.
I'm sure they'll charge a couple of bucks and start about 9ish.
