The Annual Lincoln Arts Festival, presented by the Lincoln Arts Council in cooperation with SouthPointe Pavilions, will be held September 25, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 26, 10:00a.m.-5:00p.m. More than 10,000 people attended last year's festival.

This year’s festival will feature an "artist's village" of 90 professional juried artists, exhibits by local high school students, and a booth with brochures and materials from Lincoln arts organizations. The festival promises to be even more dynamic than last year’s, with an array of pottery, jewelry, paintings, sculpture, glass work, drawings, fibers, woodworking, metals, and photography by artists from across the nation.

Catherine Griesen, a recent graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan, has been awarded the Emerging Artist Award. She creates books as her art form. Awards that will be given to chosen artists at the festival include a Best of Show, Mayor’s choice award, Nebraska’s Best, and other Awards of Excellence.

Admission to the Arts Festival is free. Food and refreshments are on site as well as nearby at SouthPointe locations. The festival is located outdoors on the west side of SouthPointe Pavilions, 27th and Pine Lake Road, Lincoln.
