January 21, 2006 - Jeff Black
Peter Lainson opening
The Loft at the Mill, 7:30pm
Jeff Black has been likened to rockers Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen and often compared to troubadour poets like Harry Chapin and Steve Goodman. His songs reside just outside the realm of pop music today. The Kansas City-born artist is a stylist in the true sense of the word, captivating audiences all over the world with his stories and inimitable delivery.

February 25, 2006 - Neal and Leandra
The Loft at the Mill, 7:30pm
Neal Hagberg and Leandra Peak have a simplicity and directness in their songs that is both disarming and elegant. The Washington Post says "as songwriters, Neal & Leandra have clearly mastered the art of saying more with less." The Minneapolis StarTribune says "listening to Leandra Peak’s distinctively husky and lustrous voice might be as heavenly as listening to angels". They have developed a following here and are regulars on the LAFTA stage.

March 18, 2006 - Paddywhack Reunion
The Loft at the Mill, 7:30pm
Extend your St. Patrick’s Day celebration into the weekend because the boys of Paddywhack are reunited (and it feels so good!). Long-time friends and compatriots Dan Newton, Chris Sayre, Terry Keefe, and Dave Marsh will be back together again for a night of Celtic music and fun. They got together in the 1980’s and the rumor is that this will be their last reunion. Order your tickets early!!

April 22, 2006 - Cliff Eberhardt
The Loft at the Mill, 7:30pm
"If life were fair and stardom based on raw talent, Cliff Eberhardt would be a household name." Eberhardt is a songwriter and performer of remarkable passion and wit. Compatriots have long admired his work with artists like Richie Havens, Shawn Colvin, Lucy Kaplansky, and Erasure recording his songs. He is “one of the most original songsmiths currently on tour, a highly intelligent and articulate artist whose lyrics are sometimes overshadowed by his extraordinary guitar playing.” This will be his second trip to the LAFTA main stage. Come see why we decided to have him back!

May 6, 2006 - The Shaw Brothers
The Loft at the Mill, 7:30pm
Natives of Lincoln, John and Jason Shaw are a dynamic duo who bring bluegrass, jazz, acoustic, and old-time fiddle music together. Music has been their lifelong passion, they were studying music at age four and performing by six. The Shaws have thrilled audiences and won numerous awards on the violin, guitar, and mandolin, including the National Flat Pick Championships at the Walnut Valley Festival. They will be joined on stage by other local favorite musicians.
