UrineTown! ::
It’s a Privilege! --
The Haymarket Theatre proudly presents, in it's Nebraska premiere, “UrineTown!--The
Musical!, winner of 3 Tony Awards in 2002 for Best Director, Best Original Score
and Best Book of a Musical, the 2002 Outer Critics Circle Award of Outstanding
Broadway Musical and Broadway.com Audience Award for favorite New Broadway Musical.
A fresh, irreverent, humorous and exciting parody of American musical theatre,
this is all the classics rolled into one: boy meets girl, rich versus poor,
the little individuals’ struggle against large monopolizing corporations.
It is a time of severe drought, water resources are short...so much so, no one
is allowed to have private toilets. The only facilities available are government
run amenities, where it is the law to pay admission for one of humanity's most
basic needs. And the rich go to Rio while the poor cross their legs in line...until
– the Revolution!
