Carson Becker - takes a very personal look at the suffrage movement in
Nebraska. This hour long performance invites the audience on a 75 year
journey toward enfranchisement. The cast of 4 play multiple roles as they
relate history and embody the people of 1850-1920. A moderated discussion

Dances are replete with vibrant costumes, evocative instruments and permeating multiphonic vocalizations. For more information, email lisagmunger@gmail.com. :: PraIRIE Vibrations: Reggae On The Plains :: Middle Massive Reggae Series Lincoln Reggae Event - This year we have decided to put together a small reggae festival called "Prairie Vibrations: Reggae on the Plains" to further the awareness of the Midwest reggae scene and bring the people of Lincoln a new musical and cultural experience. We have invited reggae inspired groups from around the region to come and play their style of music, as well as a Selector to entertain in between acts. With this diverse spectrum of musical tastes and interests displayed, we hope to bring an alternative to Lincolns' yearly musical event options. Prairie Vibrations: Reggae On the Plains a Gold-I-Locks production hosted by Lincolns own RC Dub. This is the first of a Middle Massive Reggae Series event designed by members of RC Dub to bring some of the regions best reggae groups together and uplift the status of the Midwest's emerging reggae scene as well as spread awareness of the Lincoln massive. 11, 2006 ~ 7pm :: Elizabeth I: Ruler and Legend exhibit :: Love Library will host the traveling exhibition "Elizabeth I: Ruler and Legend," from March 3- April 20, 2006. This exhibit explores the long life and colorful reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England, the remarkable monarch who made England into a world power. Visit http://iris.unl.edu/elizabethi/ for details about the exhibit and the many events scheduled. :: The Omaha Hobo Showbo :: The current resident artists at the Bemis Center for the Contemporary Arts present The Omaha Hobo Showbo. John Fraser, Sarah Gamble, Nicole Louise Raufeisen and Ryan Andrew Witt, Megan Lindeman, Peter Burr and Yoko Inoue will be showing a wide range of new work spanning several disciplines. Opening Thursday, March 2nd from 8pm to 10pm following the Bemis Center's Slide Jam event at 7pm. The Omaha Hobo Showbo will be accessible from Tuesday through Saturday during regular gallery hours (11am to 5pm) and runs until March 11th. Please see the reception desk at the front entrance of the Bemis Center for access to the second floor installation room.

With six Grammy Awards including Best Female Rock Vocal, Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Record of the Year, Sheryl Crow was one of the most popular mainstream rockers of the 90’s. Crow’s 1993 debut album, “Tuesday Night Music Club” sold more than seven million copies and “All I Wanna Do” became a Top Five single. Her follow up album “Sheryl Crow” was released in 1996 and went triple platinum. The singles “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is a Winding Road,” and “A Change Would Do You Good” were all radio hits. Aerosmith will turn up the temperature when they return to Omaha for their "Rockin' the Joint" tour. The tour is said to bring "inhibition-free, sweat-slicked rock 'n' roll" to arenas coast to coast. For these shows, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer have come up with special staging so fans on the floor will have the chance to get up close and sweaty with them while they perform on ramps leading from the stage to the middle of the auditorium.
