the vlp gig this friday is going to scream!

on sunday we tore through the first set. (did i tell you i'm in a new band? :-)
heh heh heh...oh man...i'm simply beside myself.
i get to sing some of my favorite songs by some of my favorite artists.
i can't wait to unleash this beast on the del ray!!
i wish i could tell you more...but you'll have to come and see.
i will tell you there's a nice mix of contemporary and classic tunes...
and you'll probably know all of them. well...almost all of them.

del ray ballroom (8th and q)

we're also in search of some people to help with the door duties
(reservations, tickets, age check)...if you could lend an hour or two...

get a baby sitter...
call your posse...
ask your folks for a late curfew...
ask out that guy/girl that you've been meaning to talk to (try this:
buy your tickets first, then say 'hey, _____. i've got to tickets to this sweet band on friday. wanna go?")
whatever your situation is...wash your hair, wear clean underwear and get your ass to the del ray on friday.
you won't regret it.

ps - watch for the article on vince in friday's paper (ground zero, i think).
he's directing winnie the pooh at the playhouse (it opens friday, too).
oh yeah...and friday is also his 40th birthday.
