Hey folks, it is Jen here. I have booted Matt from his computer to let you know the second annual Visual is screening this Friday the 5th at the Mary Reipma Ross Theatre (and it's free). It is an hour plus of entertaining videos and short films by local and national artist. I am very proud of this show and hope to see you there.

In an exciting collaboration
between Tugboat Gallery and the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery, the Sheldon's
curator Dan Siedell has selected NYC artist Charley Friedman to exhibit a video
in the Tugboat space May 5th-27th. The Emergency Room, part of Tugboat Gallery
will exhibit Kojo Griffin's newest work from May 5th-12th. Kojo is an Atlanta-based
artist who is nationally recognized and will be displaying never before exhibited
work. Opening receptions for all artists will be held on Friday May 5th from
8:30-10pm.
''Tugboat Presents:'' an ongoing series of group shows curated by Tugboat Gallery
will exhibit in the offices and coatroom of The Sheldon May 5th-14th, with the
Opening Reception going from 5-7pm on May 5th. This show will be a follow up
to the first successful ''Tugboat Presents:'' that happened 4 months ago at
Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, NE.

A Prelude Conversation at 6:30 p.m. will provide Itzhak Perlman concert-goers with insights into the concert, artist, repertoire and composers. The 15- to 20-minute discussion will take place in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Recital Hall at the Holland Performing Arts Center. This pre-performance discussion series is a special bonus for ticket holders.
