| :: The Stonewater Rapture :: The Stonewater Rapture is set on the front porch and in the living room of a conservative Texas home, the play tells the story of two teenagers whose sexual awakening has been severely hampered by the fundamentalist fervor that runs like power lines through the Bible Belt. Together they struggle to wed their simplistic religious doctrine with the often painful complexity of the real world. The production is directed by senior Brooke Pecoraro starring junior Jesse Desler and senior Kally Duling. May 8th & 9th ~ 7:30 (previews at 7:30 sunday May 7th) and has free admission :: Lincoln Contemporary Dance Project: Annual Concert :: The company will present a diverse program of contemporary dance with music by artists ranging from The Magnetic Fields to Yo-Yo Ma. Choreography by Liezel Barbuto, Maribel Cruz, Monya DeBoer, Elizabeth Govaerts, Sandra Halpern. May 11, 12
and 13 ~ 7:00 pm :: Shenanigans :: (from Greg Flattery) Next Friday, May 12th, 9pm, at the Watering Hole, formerly known as Mickey's, Shenanigans will be playing. Shenanigans is an Irish pub band consisting of my uncle Tim, cousin Matt, and myself. We play Irish tunes and other fun crowd pleasing songs, even a giving a toast, or curse, depending if we like the audience or if they hate us. We'll play till close so please join us and/or tell a friend: (Especially some more of the Pius faculty might enjoy this; Ray, Greg W., Julie, Sally, Karen F., Buckley, Hansen, Jake, or anyone else you can think of. If I left someone out I'm sorry.) Feel free to forward delete this, or consider this Spam worthy of reporting to the FCC. We'll play regardless and have a great time. Hope all is well with all of you and hope to see a lot of you there... Friday, May
12th ~ 9pm :: David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion :: For decades, David Copperfield has been hailed by audiences and critics alike as the greatest illusionist of our time. Witting, engaging, and supremely entertaining, Copperfield’s approach to his venerable art has transformed the way the world looks at magic. His celebrated feats (vanishing the Statue of Liberty, walking through the Great Wall of China) and sense of theater have earned him dozens of Emmy Awards and two “Entertainer of the Year” honors, and his tours have set box-office records throughout Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
