:: propagandART ~ july 12, 2006 ::
so i've been on propagandART hiatus for a while. expect more downtime from me as my priorities shift a bit. i'll put out the occasional announcement when the mood strikes me. so keep sending me your blurbs if you have some good events to promote.
but what shook me out of my hibernation is this first event. i saw this cast do this same show a few years back and about cried when i saw it because i was laughing so hard. seriously, i've seen lots of funny shows in my time, but nothing has topped that show. they open on thursday this week, and i'm sure it'll be more of the same. i can't recommend this highly enough. if you want the discount that patrick mentions in the blurb, respond to him not me: (patrick@cyberlamb.com).
if you want FREE tickets to Local Wonders, however, email ME (matthew04@landisarts.com) with "Local Wonders" in the subject. i have 2 pair of tickets to give away for this weekend. opening night is tonight (wednesday), so don't delay...i'll be giving these away on thursday!!
:: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) ::
As you may (or may not have) heard, the Crooked Codpiece Company is bringing back by popular demand "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)", by far the funniest show I have ever been associated with. (Editor's note: Cast includes Patrick Lambrecht, Tom Crew & Brad Bosen)
As part of the Flatwater Shakespeare summer festival, this show holds a fond affection for me as it was the show that launched the CCC nearly 5 years ago. We open this Thursday and run for three weekends at Lincoln's Wyuka Cemetery.
I just wanted to let you know, that anyone who responds to this e-mail (patrick@cyberlamb.com) can reserve tickets for any of the opening weekend performances (July 13-16) for JUST $10 EACH.
This offer is not only for
you, but for your friends, family, significant others, etc. Heck, you can even
forward this e-mail on!
Bring as many people as you want for these performances, just let us know how
many.
For more information about the show, visit the web site at www.crookedcodpiece.com. If you end up reserving your tickets online, make sure to enter "Patrick's E-mail" in the comment box to receive the special discount.
Tickets are selling well, so don't miss out on the offer. Who can pass up this highly-entertaining, fast-action show that forces 3 actors to pace themselves through 37 plays and 154 sonnets in just 2 acts? It is a runaway train of anything-goes humor that is a mix of pratfalls, puns, willful misreadings of names and dialogue, clunky female impersonations, clean-cut ribaldry and broad burlesque.
Performance Dates:
July 13-16, 20-23 & 27-30
All performances: 7:30 p.m.
Swan Theatre in the Wyuka Cemetary
3600 "O" Street, Lincoln.
General Admission Seating
Adults: $18 - Students/Seniors: $12
Ticket Reservations: call 402-473-2895 or hit www.crookedcodpiece.com
I hope to see you there.
Warmest regards,
Patrick
