i thought the jazzyfatnastees were going to be at the zoo tomorrow (tuesday).
well...i was close. the funknastees are at the zoo.
i don't know anything about the funknastees.
:: VLP :: ok...i haven't really started the promotional blitz for friday, and i should have.
our last gig at the del ray was a truncated version of what we're set to unleash on friday.
we didn't start until 10ish last time...this time? 9pm. that's a whole extra 60 minutes
of dance party bliss! the first set will be tunes we've never played before, or in a few
cases, played only once. so if you've seen all of our gigs, this will be a whole mess of
tunes you've never heard us do. then we'll come back for an extra long second set
chalk full of our best material.
we play songs you're not going to hear anywhere else in town...and we do them well.
but, mostly, we know how to have a good damn time, and it's contagious.
i flat out guarantee you'll have a great damn time on friday.
so get your butts down to the del ray on friday night.
you'll thank me in the morning.

why oh why did they have to schedule their bout on the same night as a vlp gig??
i'm completely hooked on the whole roller derby phenomenon.
these women kick royal ass.
it's a fun sport and these ladies play hard!
dressed in skates, helmets and fishnet stockings,
they play a rough and entertaining game.
i highly recommend the extra few bucks for the trackside seats.
especially on the turns! you may end up with a lap full of derby girls.
so hit the rink...then haul down to vlp and party into the wee hours.
man. what a great night. can't wait.
