:: mr. marmalade ::
I'd like to invite you to watch Rough Magic Productions color outside the lines with "Mr. Marmalade," by Noah Haidle, opening April 19th.
Mr. Marmalade is a dark satire about a precocious 4-year-old named Lucy and her imaginary
friend, Mr. Marmalade. When he misses his tea-party date (again), she throws
him over for the suicidal five-year-old next door, creating a tangled love
triangle replete with food fights, hard-partying businessmen and a briefcase
full of girly magazines. It's a whirlwind tour of love, loss, and epic
dysfunction, illuminating with comic bravado the shadowy zone between the
adult world and the children who must try to make sense of it. *This sketchy
world of make believe is definitely not suitable for children.*
The production features the talents of Amy Jirsa, Scott R. Glen, Sara Bucy,
Ben Tibbels, Mark Romano, Meredith Wachter and Jacob Heger.
